Michelle has 14 years experience as a professional in the communications field. She has held positions in the newspaper, newsletter, graphic design, media relations, fundraising and consulting industries.
She brings extensive writing, design and editing skills with newsletters, annual reports, brochures and ads; experience in directing/producing promotional and documentary videos; and the ability to market organizations, products and services.
Her interest in non-profits is evident through her involvement with Scenic Hudson, Inc. and Clearwater, Inc., both environmental organizations, as well as with Occupations, Inc., which provides residential, day treatment, clinical, vocational, social and other comprehensive rehabilitation services to people with emotional, developmental and/or physical limitations.
Additional professional employment, specifically relating to fundraising initiatives, includes work with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, both in Washington, DC.
She serves on the board of directors of Occupations, Inc. where she is a member of the Development and Public Affairs Committee, and also serves on the board of Footprints Nursery School. She is also a team leader for Tastefully Simple, the nation's leading gourmet food company with a home taste-testing party theme. |
